Steps to Successfully Complete Your 2012-2013 Financial Aid

Summer 2012, Fall 2012 and Spring 2013 Semesters

The Office of Financial Aid strives to provide the best service to each student. You must successfully complete the four steps below before we can offer you ANY Financial Aid.

Once you have completed these steps you will begin receiving communication from our office via your Linfield email account.  Review the Next Steps below.

Verification

If you have been selected for the process of Verification this means the Federal Government is requesting that we compare the information you submitted on your FAFSA with the following required documents:

Your Verification documents may be submitted to the Office of Financial Aid in the following ways:

            Linfield College, Office of Financial Aid
            900 SE Baker, Unit A484
            McMinnville OR 97128

If you have not been selected for Verification, you will receive communication from our office via U.S. mail on your Financial Aid Award Letter, and then all other correspondence will be via your Linfield email account.

Award Letter

Once you receive your Financial Aid Award Letter please complete the following steps:

Your Award Letter may be submitted to the Office of Financial Aid in the following ways:

            McMinnville OR 97128

Federal Direct Stafford Loans

If you are accepting Federal Direct Stafford Loans you MUST complete a Master Promissory Note (MPN) with your Federal PIN as your signature, www.pin.ed.gov. If you have never received a Federal Direct Stafford Loan before you MUST complete Entrance Counseling online.

Your Federal Direct Stafford Loans WILL NOT be disbursed to your student account unless the following steps are completed:
